Practice Update: Dr. Frank Relocating to STEPS Valleyview

Effective September 8, 2025, Dr. S. M. Signy Frank will be moving her family practice from Sun Peaks Health Centre to the STEPS Valleyview Clinic in Kamloops.

Dr. Frank remains committed to keeping all patients attached within her longitudinal family practice. There will be no disruption to care or services during this transition.

“I have been privileged to serve the Sun Peaks community as both a resident and family physician for over seven years. I am deeply grateful for the trust and relationships built during this time. Although this transition was not part of my original plan, many circumstances have led me to make this very difficult decision to relocate my practice.

After much reflection, I believe that relocating will allow me to continue to provide the highest quality of care for my patients. My goal is to ensure continuity of care while being able to deliver the best possible team-based support.”

Why is Dr. Frank moving the clinic?
Dr. Frank made the decision to relocate her practice after much reflection, in order to continue providing the highest quality of care for her patients.

Will I still be Dr. Frank’s patient after the move?
Yes. All patients remain attached to Dr. Frank’s longitudinal family practice.

Will appointments or services change?‍

No. There will be no disruption to appointments or access to allied health services.

Do I need to re-register at the new clinic?‍

No. All medical records will automatically transfer. Patients do not need to take any action.

What if I cannot get to STEPS Valleyview?
Virtual appointments are available. Please speak with reception or your family physician if you have transportation challenges.

Led by Registered Social Worker Angela Owen and Psychiatrist Dr. Kristina Birkholz, this 8-week program helps participants become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours—and how to positively shift them.
